The Challenge: Bloodlines is the twenty-seventh season of The Challenge.

Game summary[edit | edit source]
Challenge games[edit | edit source]
- Family Jewels: Players must race up a hill to retrieve gems of their team color on them. With a bucket tied between them, players must collect jewels as they fall from the fountain above, meaning they may not pick up ones on the ground. They must then race back and place them in their basket. The team with the most gems in their basket after 20 minutes wins, while the team (with at least one female player) that has the fewest gems is automatically sent to The Ring.
- Winners: MarissaAnne & Damien
- Swing Fling: Players must jump onto a giant rope suspended above the water. Players must attempt to swing on the rope in order to grab a bar suspended in the air. They must then swim around a flag and touch a buoy to stop their time. The team with the fastest time wins, while the team (with at least one male player) with the slowest time is automatically sent to The Ring.
- Winners: Pete & Paul
- Light 'Em Up: Players must advance from one end of a platform to another that is suspended high above water. Each player has to jump onto a series of giant lamp shades on top of foam lamps. As the players advance, the lamp shades get smaller and smaller, making it harder to fit each player. The team that advances the most players to the finish platform in the fastest time wins.
- Winners: Red Team
- Human Claw: Strapped to a bungee cord by their feet, players must plunge into the water and attempt to grab a ball anchored to the bottom. For every ball that a player unhooks, they score a point. Players score an additional point for every ball they are able to come up with in hand. After two rounds, the team with the most points wins.
- Winners: Blue Team
- Couch Potato: Separated into male and female heats, players must stand on an elevated platform with couch cushions attached to their stomach and back. When the horn sounds, players must attempt to knock their opponents off of the platform and into the mud. The last player standing will win the round for their team. If different teams win the male and female heats, then a coin toss will determine which gender will compete in a one-on-one face off. The team that scores 2 points wins.
- Winners: Blue Team
- Pyramid Scheme: The teams are split up into four groups, with one less player in each group. The team of four must work together to smash crates to retrieve puzzle pieces from inside. The team of three must untangle a series of knots to release their pieces, the team of two must work together to saw two segments of a log in order to retrieve their pieces, and the final player must solve a riddle to retrieve the final piece. The team must then solve a pyramid puzzle to stop their time. The team with the fastest time wins.

- Know or Go: Players are asked a series of trivia questions by host Tyson Kidd, which includes spelling, sports, geography, pop culture, U.S. history, and even past challenges. Players are suspended above the water on platforms. If they correctly answer a question, they will stay in the game, but if they answer incorrectly, they will receive an X. After two Xs, a player's platform will open, they will fall into the water, and be eliminated. The team with the last player standing wins.
- Winners: Red Team
- A Game: Players must work as a team to get over a series of A-frames that get taller and steeper as the challenge progresses. At the end of each A-frame, players must grab a bag of balls. Once they successfully clear all six A-frames, players must shoot their balls into their team basket to stop their time. The team with the fastest time wins.
- Winners: Blue Team
- Fancy Feast: Players must race up a hill to a giant table. Once there, players must eat the entire portion of a Spanish delicacy on their plate. Once the entire team has finished, they must race back down the hill to deposit their token on their board. Once a team retrieves all four tokens, they must use the tokens to solve a combination lock, which will raise their team flag. The first team to raise their flag wins.
- Winners: Red Team
- Thicker Than Water: To begin, each player on a team has a different sized and shaped piece of piping attached to a part of their body. When the horn sounds, players must maneuver through a series of obstacles and work as a team to connect their piping to get water from a giant jug to smaller buckets across the beach. The team that fills their five buckets in the fastest time wins.
- Winners: Blue Team
- Flyers: Players must swing on a giant pendulum suspended above the water. At one end, players must grab a ball, which they must pass off to their partner in the center of the swing. Once the ball is passed, it must be placed in a basket on the other side. Players must continue this process with their partner until each player places ten balls in their basket, stopping their time. The team with the fastest time wins, while the team with the slowest time is automatically sent to The Ring.
- Winners: Sarah & Tyler
- Train Wreck: Players must climb on and around several obstacles from a train wreck on top of the water. Along the way, players must grab four tokens from different stations. If a player falls into the water, their team will incur a 15-second penalty. Players must correctly complete every obstacle and make their way to the finish platform to stop their time. The team with the fastest time wins, while the team with the slowest time is automatically sent to The Ring.

Ring games[edit | edit source]
- Locking Horns: Players begin by placing both hands on giant horns. On go, players must pull the horns and their opponent out of the ring. Played in a best-of-five rounds, the first player to score three points wins.

- Burn Out: Players must pull themselves across a giant, winding ladder suspended above the ring. Once across, they must grab a fire medallion and race back. The first player to transfer 50 fire medallions across the ladder wins.
- Played by: Nick vs. Mason, Sarah vs. Crystal, Estelle vs. Marta
- Pole Dance: Players must climb a giant pole wrapped in netting. Once to the top, they must untie a series of puzzle pieces and climb back down. Once all puzzle pieces have been retrieved, players must use the pieces to solve the puzzle. The first player to solve the puzzle wins.
- Played by: Marta vs. Cassie, Lenny vs. Phil, Darrius & Chad vs. Brian & Bert
- Pedal Pusher: Players must pedal on a stationary bike for a period of time so that a blockade drops. Once it drops, players have a small window to throw sandbags at blocks on a table before the blockade goes up again. The first player to knock all of the blocks off of the table wins.

- ^1 : Katie suffered a knee injury during the "Couch Potato" challenge in episode 5. Prior to the "Pyramid Scheme" challenge at the beginning of episode 6, host Tyson Kidd delivered the news that Katie was medically unable to continue competing. Lucy was sent home as the result of being Katie's bloodline.
- ^2 : Brian and Damien were selected for The Ring in episode 10. However, instead of facing each other, each player was met with a shocking twist when "heavy hitters" Caleb and Gustavo were brought into the game. Following a coin flip by host Tyson Kidd, each player was set up to face either Caleb or Gustavo in the "Locking Horns" ring elimination, with the player holding off their "heavy hitter" opponent the longest winning.
